Expert Carpet, Upholstery, and Duct Cleaning - Serving Avon, Ohio: In the mid 1980s Andy Ellis hired a company to clean the carpets in his family's North Ridgeville four bedroom, split level home. All of the carpeting in the entire house was cleaned in approximately forty minutes. During this time the company also nicked the baseboards and washed the mulch out of the flower garden. Three days later, the carpeting was still soaking wet and before long was beginning to mold. Andy replaced the carpeting and decided to use this experience to help save other Northeast Ohio residents from a similar fate. He attended the Cuyahoga County Vocational School during his junior and senior years in high school where he quickly learned the ins and outs of appliance repair. In 1986 Tony founded Total Appliance Service in a small space behind his father's barber shop and his father was often the source of his earliest customers. A Portrait of Style - As a child growing up in Western Pennsylvania, Laurie Musser loved to draw. With six brothers and sisters, she often had difficulty finding a blank sheet of paper so her mother gave her a chalkboard as a medium for her artistic talents. Laurie would sit on the floor drawing on the chalkboard until she was surrounded by mountains of chalk dust, and was thrilled with the joy her friends and family found in her drawings. Following her graduation from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, PA, Laurie moved to Strongsville, OH and embarked on a twenty-five year career as an illustrator for American Greetings.
