Avon resident Tammy Gilles-Brandt began working with flowers when she was only sixteen years old. She found employment with Kathy Pawlitfch at A Secret Garden Floral Design, and when Kathy offered the business for sale, Tammy took over ownership on April 1, 2007. We visited with Tammy recently, and listened as she described A Secret Garden's offerings;

A Secret Garden Floral Design is a full-service floral shop providing floral design for any occasion. We offer everything from bud vases to large wedding and funeral pieces, in addition to fruit baskets, gourmet baskets, greeting cards, silk arrangements, balloons, planters, and baskets. Most of our arrangements are custom designed to our customers wants and needs, and include not only traditional flowers, but also many unique items such as blue orchids and tropicals that are normally hard to find in this area.

We pride ourselves on having very competitive prices. We purchase many of our supplies in large quantities directly from the growers which results in very advantageous pricing which we can then pass on to our customers. Our delivery area ranges from Vermillion, Ohio to Eastlake with flowers coming directly from our shop without the use of traditional wire services.
