Sharing a passion for ice cream, Donald and Susan Sutherland began to search for ice cream that was both smooth and creamy. Finding only traditional hard-packed or soft-service ice cream available in their area, Donald and Susan founded Cold Stone Creamery® in Arizona in 1988 where they made the highest quality ice cream available in their store fresh each and every day. As their reputation has grown, Cold Stone Creamery® has expanded to include over 1,300 stores nationwide.

Sandy Kantorak had wanted to own her own business for a long time. After discovering Cold Stone Creamery®, Sandy knew that she had found the perfect business. Not only could she become a valued member of the Avon community where she lives and her children will be attending school, but she could spend her days bringing joy and happiness to local residents. Sandy opened Avon's Cold Stone Creamery® on September 25, 2004, and has since been introducing her customers to the ultimate ice cream experience. We met with Sandy recently, and listened as she outlined the delectable treats and enthusiasm you'll find inside her front doors;

Cold Stone Creamery® offers eighteen flavors of ice cream made fresh in our store every day. We offer milkshakes, floats, smoothies, sundaes, a light ice cream, sorbet for lactose intolerant customers, coffee, iced coffee, and fat-free no sugar added ice cream called Sinless Sans Fat. We make our own waffle cones in the store every day, and we have ten signature cakes in our display case at all times, in addition to thirty-two ounce to-go containers of eight signature flavors of ice cream.

When you come into Cold Stone Creamery®, we take the ice cream you've chosen and place it on a granite slab that's kept at 16° Fahrenheit. You can select from a wide range of fresh nuts, fruits, candy, fudge, and caramel to create an endless variety of combinations to be mixed with your favorite flavor. Our mix-ins include brand-name candies, such as Butterfingers™', Crunch Bars, Heath Bars™, M&M's™, Snickers Bars™, Gummi Bears, Kit Kat™ bars, Reese's™ Peanut Butter Cups, Chocolate Chips, and White Chocolate Chips. We have Pecans, Walnuts, and Roasted and Sliced Almonds, in addition to Apple Pie Filling, Bananas, Black Cherries, Blueberries, Cherry Pie Filling, Coconut, Pineapple, Raspberries, Strawberries, and many more.

We know your options at Cold Stone Creamery® can be somewhat overwhelming, so we walk you through the process one step at a time. After you've chosen your ice cream flavor, we make suggestions based on the ice cream you've selected. We have twenty original creations that combine select ice cream flavors with mixes and combinations that are time-tested crowd pleasers. We mix your combination, place it in a waffle bowl, and when you take it to the cash register our crew members will often sing for you as our way of saying "Thanks!"
