After receiving her medical degree from West Virginia University, K. Anne Jacobs, M.D., F.A.C.S., completed her Internship at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, LA, and her Residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. A member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, ARVO, ASCRS, and the International Society of Refractive Surgeons, Dr. Jacobs founded Jacobs Eye Center in Avon, OH in July 1986. We met with Dr. Jacobs recently, and listened as she provided this overview of the services available at Jacobs Eye Center;

Jacobs Eye Center offers complete eye care services for children and adults of all ages. We specialize in laser vision correction and advanced cataract techniques, treatment of glaucoma, diabetes, eye examinations, and the prescriptions of contact lenses and eye glasses. LASIK surgery is performed on-site, and I have privileges at Premium Surgery Center, St. John Westshore in Westlake, Lorain County Community Health Partners, Elyria Memorial Hospital/Regional Medical Center in Elyria, The Surger Center in Middleburg Heights, and Amherst Hospital in Amherst.

When it comes to restoring somebody's vision, I offer the premium Intraocular Lens Implants which can restore vision for both distance and reading in one lens implant. An Intraocular Lens (IOL) usually replaces the eye's existing crystalline lens which has been clouded over by a cataract, and is also a wonderful technique for changing the eye's optical power. I have also performed laser vision correction since 1996. The LASIK procedure is performed in our office, and can greatly reduce a patient's dependence on glasses.
