Mike Wechter began working for a local tree service while still in high school. After gaining a few years' experience and attending courses at Ohio State along the way, Mike decided to open his own business. In 1973 he founded Mike's Tree Service Inc. which originally consisted only of himself and one truck. Throughout the years, the fledgling company continued to grow as a result of plenty of hard work and dedication to complete customer satisfaction. To accommodate this consistent growth, Mike built a new facility on Just Imagine Drive to house his business in the 1980s. Mike's Tree Service Inc. is a full-service tree company offering services ranging from tree removal and stump grinding to trimming, pruning, and reshaping of trees, shrubs, and ornamentals. We diagnose and consult on all types of tree problems and planting issues, in addition to offering crane service and providing crane and bucket truck rentals. We are a member of the International Society of Arbiculture, and serve the western suburbs of Cleveland, including Avon, Avon Lake, Bay Village, Lakewood, North Olmsted, Parma, Sheffield Lake, and Westlake.

We provide the full complement of trimming services from removal of deadwood to complete interior growth trimming. We repair limbs that have been damaged by storms, and provide emergency storm damage assistance at any time, day or night. Rather than simply removing trees, although, we focus our efforts on preserving the green environment by professionally pruning trees, shrubs, and bushes. We provide cabling services to give additional support to trees with bad or damaged grafts, and utilize deep root feeding and aerating to encourage the healthy growth of trees.
