The owner always dreamed of being in business for himself. He was a hard worker and early in life realized the benefits of dedicating his energy to creating equity in his own company. He discovered a property built in 1952 that has long been the location of an Avon, Ohio tavern. The business is located on the first floor of the building, and the previous owners have always occupied the three bedroom apartment on the second floor. The old North Ridge Tavern became ZZ's Big Top in 1984 and began to transform a dream into a reality. We visited with owner Keith Zeman recently, and listened as he described ZZ's Big Top's offerings;

ZZ's Big Top is a local tavern much along the lines of television's Cheers. We know our customers by name and strive to offer a personal touch that makes them feel at home. You will always find a friendly face behind the bar and our customers come from all walks of life.

Our food is a step above typical bar food. We offer daily specials, such as tacos, meatloaf, spaghetti, steaks, and mussels. We are very well known for the quality of both our hamburgers and our chicken wings. We run a clean establishment, seat approximately fifty, and really treat you well for an economical price.

We provide our customers with a bowling machine for our bowling league, dart boards for dart leagues, a pool table, and Golden Tee Live for our golfers. I am here between sixty and seventy hours a week, and strive to create an environment where our customers can relax and feel very comfortable.
